A young man has been arrested after allegedly defying a police order banning him from Southampton city centre.
The 23-year-old was held on suspicion of failing to comply with a Section 35 direction excluding a person from an area, theft and handling stolen goods.
It comes after police on patrol in Above Bar Street saw a man who had earlier been issued with a Section 35 dispersal notice not to be in the city centre shortly after 1pm.
Bottles of perfume, suspected to have been stolen from Boots, were found in his possession.
He remains in custody.
