It's the 2,000-year-old tale chronicling the birth of Jesus - played out each year by young school children.
The Daily Echo is putting together a picture special capturing the magical moments from this year's nativity plays in infant and primary schools across Southampton and Hampshire.
Whether it's the school's version of the traditional tale, or perhaps a festive stage show or even a panto, we'd love to see the young stars of the stage in action.
We're asking teachers and parents to send us pictures of their children - either all ready for their Christmas performance or during the dress rehearsal - so we can feature them in our pages.

Is your school putting on a nativity play or Christmas performance?
Send us your best photos of children dressed up in their festive finery ready for their nativity play or Christmas production and we'll publish them in our special supplement
