Police have provided a major update on their investigation into the death of a man at a high rise tower block in Southampton.
Officers were called at around 10.30am on Saturday to the incident at Canberra Towers in Weston.
The man who died was in his 30s, leading to an outpouring of condolences both online and also from residents of the tower block, with one neighbour describing the death as a tragedy.
Part of the car park outside the block on Kingsclere Avenue was cordoned off while police gathered evidence.
Since Saturday, the death has been described as 'unexplained' while they investigated the circumstances.
But last night, a spokesperson for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary confirmed that the incident had now been reclassified as 'non-suspicious'.
Police will prepare a file for the coroner, who will conduct their own investigation into the man's death.
