One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash that closed a key Southampton route.
Thomas Lewis Way was shut after the accident near the Cobden Bridge just before 9pm yesterday.
A police spokesperson said: "We were called at 8.49pm to a report of a collision in Thomas Lewis Way, involving two vehicles. One person reported minor injuries.
"Officers will be looking at the exact circumstances of the collision."
No further details have been released, including the age and gender of the victim and the type of vehicles involved.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS) personnel were also sent to the scene.
A spokesperson said: "Southampton firefighters were called to a collision on the junction of Thomas Lewis Way and St Denys Road at around 10pm last night.
"Crews from St Mary’s and Redbridge were on the scene of the two-vehicle incident, working to release one trapped casualty by removing the roof.
"The casualty was handed to South Central Ambulance Service paramedics by HIWFRS left the scene at 11pm."
The road was closed outbound at the junction with St Denys Road. Access to Cobden Bridge was also restricted. Bluestar’s 20 service to Thornhill was diverted.
