Gritters will be out on the streets of Southampton tonight as temperatures are expected to plummet.
The vehicles will be on the roads from 7pm, tackling priority routes.
Gritters in the wider Hampshire area will also be out and about this evening, from 6pm in the north and central regions and from 7pm in the south.

Our gritters are out this evening on our priority one salting routes as RST's drop below freezing with the risk of hoar frost and icy patches.
They'll be heading out as follows:
North - 18:00
Central - 18:00

Motorists are urged to be careful if travelling tonight.
The road surface temperature is expected to drop during the night.
