A police manhunt has ended in an arrest for attempted murder and kidnap in Thornhill.
Reports on social media suggested officers had broken into and raided a property in Byron Road, Thornhill, this morning.
The force later confirmed that they had been called at 9.35am today to a reported that the wanted man had gone into an address in the road.

Police went to the property and arrested a 37-year-old man from Southampton on suspicion of kidnap, attempted murder, threats to kill and assault.
He remains in police custody at this time.
"The offences are in connection with domestic incidents in October against a woman in her 30s," a police spokesperson confirmed.
