One lift at Potters Court remains out of order two weeks after it stopped working.
Both lifts at the council-owned block of flats in Wimpson Lane, which mainly houses pensioners and disabled people, broke down earlier this month leaving residents stuck on the ground floor.
The council has now confirmed that two weeks on, only one has been fixed.
A Southampton City Council spokesperson said: “One lift is now repaired and operational at Potters Court; however, we continue to experience technical issues with the second lift.
“Our contractor is still to complete the permanent works to rectify the issues and ensure the second lift is operational as soon as possible.
“Our priority is always the safety and well-being of residents. Our on-site team continue to be on site are supporting residents as needed.
“We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to residents, and we will continue to keep the Potters Court community updated.”
Two disabled pensioners had to sleep in their own wheelchairs when the lifts first broke down on November 10.
David Gray, 57, and Ernie Williams, 73, spent the night in Potters Court's lounge unable to reach their upstairs bedrooms.
Margaret Baxendale, 74, said she was covered in bruises after she decided to crawl up the stairs to get to her third storey flat.
Margaret only moved into Potters Court three months ago and said she had counted at least 10 times when at least one lift was down.
