The discovery of a knife and an air pistol has led to a man being charged.
Shortly before 8pm on Saturday night, police spotted a vehicle on Northam Road and stopped the driver on Bitterne Road West.
A knife and air pistol was found.

Liam Bull, 26, of Howard Close, Southampton, has now been charged with possession of a firearm in a public place and possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.
He has also been charged with using a motor vehicle on a road or public place without third party insurance and driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
He is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 27 November).
