A Gosport man has been sentenced for possessing a knife.
Liam Thomas Wall, 31, was found by police with an open wound to his head and with a knife on him in Elm Grove in Portsmouth on Sunday, July 23.
Officers went to the address shortly after 10pm following a report of a 'disturbance involving four people', where Wall, of Brockhurst Road, Gosport, was found in this state.
The others presents were not hurt, a police spokesman said.
Wall pleaded guilty to affray and possession of a bladed article.
At Portsmouth Crown Court on Thursday, Wall was sentenced to 16 months imprisonment, suspended for two years.
In addition to the suspended sentence, Wall must complete a 12-month drug rehabilitation requirement and a 30-day rehabilitation activity requirement.
He was also ordered to forfeit any weapons for destruction.
