A man has been charged with a stealing advent calendars.
Lee Paul Barnes, 40, of no fixed abode, was charged with several shoplifting incidents in Hythe through October and November.
The charges are as follows:
- The theft of coffee from Tesco Express, Langdown Lawn, Hythe, reported at 2pm on Sunday 1 October.
- Theft of chocolate from One Stop, Beaulieu Road, Hythe, reported 6.10pm on Saturday 14 October.
- Theft of biscuits and cheese from Tesco Express, Langdown Lawn, Hythe, reported at midday on Friday 27 October.
- Theft of chocolate from Tesco Express, Langdown lawn, Hythe, reported at 8.50pm on Monday 30 October.
- Theft of cheese from Tesco Express, Langdown Lawn, Hythe, reported at 4.20pm on Monday 30 October.
- Theft of laundry detergent from Tesco Express, Langdown Lawn, Hythe, reported at 10.30pm on Saturday 4 November.
- Theft of meat and chocolate from Tesco Express, Langdown Lawn, Hythe, reported at 5pm on Sunday 5 November.
- Theft of advent calendars from Tesco Express, Langdown Lawn, Hythe, reported at 1.25pm on Saturday 11 November.
He appeared at Southampton Magistrates' Court on Monday and was remanded in custody to appear at before the same court on December 6.
