A signalling problem between New Milton and Brockenhurst is causing travel disruption on the railway this morning.
South Western Railway (SWR) has warned passengers that trains may be cancelled or delayed.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the company’s official account – SWR Help – informed followers: “A signalling problem is affecting the railway between New Milton and Brockenhurst.
“Trains may be cancelled, delayed, or revised because of this problem.”

The train operator estimated that disruption to their services would end by 2pm this afternoon – Friday, December 1.
They added: “At this time, we estimate that disruption to our services will end at 2pm.
“Trains have to run at reduced speed on some lines.
“We will let you know if this changes or when we have more information.”
SWR has stated that passengers with valid train tickets can travel on Bluestar buses 8, 9, 11, and 12 between Southampton, Millbrook Redbridge, and Totton.
This also applies to the Bluestar 6 service between Southampton, Totton, Ashurst, Brockenhurst, and Lymington.
