These five motorists have appeared at Southampton Magistrates' Court for speeding around Southampton and on the M27.
DEEPALI CHAWLA, 47, of Woodend Drive, Ascot admitted speeding on the eastbound M27 between junctions five and seven near West End. She was driving an Audi when she was caught at 98mph by an automatic speed camera. The national 70mph limit was in place at the time. Chawla was fined £461 and received five penalty points. She must also pay £110 court costs and a £184 surcharge.
BEN ALDERMAN, 38, of Highbridge Road, Eastleigh pleaded guilty to exceeding a variable speed limit on the M27 at Hedge End. He was caught by an automatic speed camera driving a Nissan at 76mph between junctions seven and eight. A variable 50mph limit was in place at the time. Alderman received a £92 fine and six points. He must pay £110 court costs and a £37 surcharge.

OSAMEDE AIGUOBASIMWIN, 41, of Howerts Close, Warsash admitted exceeding a variable speed limit on the M27 at West End. He was driving eastbound in a Mercedes when he was caught by an automatic speed camera at 51mph between junctions five and seven. A variable 40mph speed limit was in place. He also pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a lane closure. Aiguobasimwin was fined £169 and received three penalty points. He must pay £110 court costs and a £68 surcharge.
NAOMIE PICKERING, 46, of Alpha Road, Birchington admitted speeding in a Vauxhall Mokka on the A35 Southampton Road at Lyndhurst. She was driving at 43mph when she was caught by manned equipment on the 30mph road. Pickering was banned from driving for seven days and fined £430. She must pay a £172 surcharge.
KIRUPAHARAN UMA, 50, of Mill Road, Fareham pleaded guilty to speeding after he was caught by manned equipment at 37mph on the B3385 in Lee-on-the-Solent. He was driving a Ford Transit. The road has a 30mph limit. Uma was fined £67 and received three penalty points. He must pay a £33 surcharge.
