Police are looking to identify a man wearing a Somerset council hi-vis vest after more than £200 worth of alcohol was stolen from Waitrose.
Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak with in connection with the theft in Lymington.
Officers say the alcohol was concealed in plastic bags before being taken from the store in Stanford Road without payment shortly before 8am on Wednesday, November 22.
The man is described as white, around 5ft 3ins to 5ft 4ins tall, between 55 and 60 years old, with dark hair, unshaven, of scrawny build.
He was wearing a Somerset council hi-vis vest and a fur-lined hat.
A Hampshire police spokesperson said: “We believe the man in these images can help us with our investigation and would urge him, or anyone who knows his identity, to get in touch with us.
“Also, if you have any information about this incident, saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, or have any CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam or doorbell camera footage which could aid our investigation, please contact us.”
