Poundland has shed light on the future of its Fareham store.
The discount store has said it will move its existing Fareham store from Unit 7 at Market Quay to the former Wilko Store at Market Quay Shopping Centre.
The move comes after rumours shared on social media after a sign was put outside the store saying it would be closing on December 8.
The new store will open on Saturday and it will be the brand's 64th former Wilko store it has occupied as Poundland since September.
A spokesperson for Poundland said: ‘We’re delighted to complete our 2024 opening programme in Fareham this Saturday – the 64th Wilko we’ve opened as a Poundland in just 70 days.
"We’re looking forward to offering customers even more in our new home.”
