These pictures show how much Southampton Christmas Market has changed over the years.
The city's first German market brought bratwurst and mulled wine to Christmas shoppers in Above Bar on November 19, 2004.
The holiday spirit was palpable as the initial Christmas market opened its doors to shoppers. Everyone embraced the festive atmosphere, taking delight in all it had to offer.
The opening of Christmas festivities was marked with a celebratory atmosphere, thanks to the sounds of oompah bands and the smell of German sausage, wines and beers.
The market was open daily until December 23 selling traditional German wares and top-quality food and drink.
And the German market has been going ever since.
But how much has it changed?
Spoiler alert - not much!
