A suspect arrested in connection with a cannabis factory in Southampton has been released under investigation.

Around 250 plants in various stages of growth were found at a house in Pennine Road, Millbrook on Friday afternoon.

Police were called out at 3.30pm and remained at the scene throughout the evening and into Saturday.

The factory has now been dismantled and officers have left.

A 52-year-old man from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.

He has since been released while enquiries continue.
