A planning application has been submitted to Southampton City Council for the construction of a three-storey building with five flats.
The site is located at the corner of Mordaunt Road and Liverpool Street, with the Southampton Hebrew Congregation building next to the proposed site.
The land in which the flats are been built was associated with the Synagogue until it was recently purchased.
As part of the proposal, the applicant Bagir Bazorov seeks to install cycle storage, bin storage, two parking spaces and a landscaped courtyard as well as the five flats.

The flats will extend the terrace line and keep within the style of existing two- and three-story family and residential dwellings.
The site is located within walking distance of Southampton Common, several bus stops and St Denys station.
The applicant said this makes it more desirable to potential tenants if the application is approved by the council.
