The Met Office has warned that Southampton is expected to be battered with heavy rain on Thursday.
A yellow weather warning has been applied to a large region of the south coast, including the city, with the warning in place from 11am to 10pm on Thursday.
The Met Office has forecast heavy rain from as early as 6am in the morning.
According to the Met Office, the weather is likely to cause spray and flooding on roads which will making journey times longer.
Trains and buses are likely to experience delays due to the bad weather conditions.
