A woman in her 60s suffered serious injuries after she was hit by a van.
She was taken to hospital after being struck by a Ford Transit on Rownhams Road, North Baddesley on Tuesday afternoon.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
A spokesperson said: “At 3.40pm yesterday (Tuesday 5 December), officers were called to a report of a collision involving a vehicle – Ford Transit - and pedestrian on Rownhams Road, North Baddesley.
“Upon our attendance, both the driver and pedestrian were present at the scene and the road was blocked.
“The pedestrian, a woman aged in her 60s, was taken to Southampton General Hospital to be treated for serious, but not life threatening injuries.
“Officers have begun an investigation into the incident and enquiries remain ongoing at this time.

“Additionally, if you have any dash cam, doorbell camera, mobile phone or CCTV footage of the incident, please get in touch."
