The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

JONE LALABALAVA of Camnria Drive, Dibden pleaded guilty to assault by beating at Dibden. The 51-year-old was given a one-year community order with 30 rehabilitation days and a £100 fine. Lalabalava must pay court costs of £85 and a £114 surcharge. 

MATTHEW BROWN, 38, of Thornhill Road, Fawley admitted possessing a controlled drug of Class A (cocaine), two counts of drug driving, driving without a licence and driving without insurance. All of the offences were committed in Southampton. He also pleaded guilty to two public order offences at Hampton Lane in Blackfield.  Brown was sentenced to 16 weeks suspended for 18 months with a 19-day Thinking Skills programme and 20 rehabilitation days. He was banned from driving for 16 months and must pay a £300 fine and £250 compensation. An order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs. 

BRANDON MIDDLEDITCH, 20, of Charliejoy Gardens, Southampton pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm in Southampton. He was given a community order until June 6, 2025 with 25 rehabilitation days and 120 hours of unpaid work. He must pay £200 compensation.

KANE BELL, 19, of no fixed abode admitted a charge of assault by beating on Market Street, Eastleigh. He was given an eight-week sentence suspended for 12 months and must pay £200 compensation. 

GRANT NICHOLAS, 28, of no fixed abode pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to police or court bail at an appointed time and using threatening or abusive or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Southampton. He was fined £150 and must pay a £40 surcharge. 

NADEEM FAROOQ, 19, of Canberra Tower, Weston admitted causing criminal damage to a window in Southampton and failing to attend or remain for the duration of an initial assessment following a Class A drug test. He must pay a £40 fine, £100 compensation, £45 court costs and a £16 surcharge.
