A man has tried to put out a huge shed fire using a garden hose.
The video filmed by Wayne John shows the moment Ian Black, 52, grabbed a hose in a bid to put out the blaze in Bishops Road.
The footage shows a huge fire ravaging a shed at the back of the house at around 12.30pm.
Incident commander Steve Sapp told the Echo firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze using water hoses.
He added that there were no injuries and the cause of the fire is unknown.
Speaking to the Echo, the man in the video, Ian told the Echo: “I was watching TV, and I heard a massive bang coming from outside.
“Something had exploded and when I saw through the window, I could see flames coming out of the shed next door. It all happened very quickly.”
Ian rushed to alert his next-door neighbours, before attempting to put the fire out using his garden house.
“I did try to get the hose so that the fire didn’t spread any further, but it was quite useless as only a bit of water was coming out.”
