A prolific shoplifter has been jailed after targeting shops in Woolston and stealing goods worth more than £700.
Catherine Vine, 40, of Ash Close, Hythe, committed the offences between November 3 and December 12 this year.
Meat, chocolate, coffee, advent calendars, sandwiches, cheese, and washing products were among the items taken.
The incidents took place at stores in Bridge Road and two other Woolston streets - John's Road and Victoria Road.

After being arrested in Southampton on December 13, she was charged with ten counts of shoplifting, one of attempting to steal from a shop, and one of obtaining services dishonestly.
Vine pleaded guilty to all the offences and was sentenced to 16 weeks' in prison.
