A £432,000 refurbishment of the gym facilities at Holly Hill Leisure Centre in Fareham is now complete.

Everyone Active, which manages the centre on behalf of Fareham Borough Council, has announced the completion of the renovation ahead of Christmas as residents look to get back in the gym.

The brand new, 100-station gym officially reopened on Saturday, December 23, providing members with a "modern and inviting" space to achieve their fitness goals.

Responding to member demand for strength training, the refurbished gym now features an array of new equipment, including an Olympic Flat Bench, Glute Drive machine and Linear Hack Press.

In addition, Treadmills, Watt Bikes and Rowers offer new options for cardiovascular workouts.

Ryan Grant, contract manager at Everyone Active, said: "We are absolutely delighted to showcase the remarkable transformation at Holly Hill Leisure Centre.

“This investment has not only transformed our leisure centre physically but has elevated it into a vibrant community hub which we hope will pay dividends for years to come.

“We encourage the public to come down and see the incredible changes for themselves. Our doors are wide open, and we welcome everyone to experience the upgraded facilities firsthand.”

One of the new fitness offerings is the introduction of interactive equipment such as the iFit Treadmill and Bike.

These new machines allow users to customise their workout experience by plugging in their own maps or plans to the screen.

Brand new disabled-user-friendly equipment has been added, including a Hand Bike, Low Row, Chest Press and Shoulder Press – which can be easily adjusted to be more accessible.

Executive member for Leisure and Community at Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Sue Walker, said: “Holly Hill Leisure Centre seems to be going from strength to strength.

“I am delighted to see these latest improvements making the centre even more appealing for its members.

“I am sure that the impressive range of new equipment will encourage even more local residents to join and ensure the centre’s success long into the future.”
