Red Funnel has suspended its passenger service between Southampton and the Isle of Wight as Storm Gerrit sweeps across the city.
The ferry operator has cancelled this afternoon's Red Jet crossings due to the “increasing adverse” weather conditions brought by the storm.
Gales of 40mph are forecast in Southampton, resulting in the service being suspended "until further notice".
Red Funnel says it will issue another update at 5pm.
Red Jet suspended until further notice due to the increasing adverse weather experienced from Storm Gerrit. Our next update is at 17:00. We apologise for the inconvenience caused to your journey.
