The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...
SHANE HAM, 50, of Selborne Avenue, Southampton admitted a charge of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver. This relates to a Vauxhall driver who was alleged to be guilty of an offence. He was fined £120 and received six penalty points. It was said that he is the only person in the family who drives and that his stepmother would be caused exceptional hardship if he were to lose his licence.
JAY RICKETTS, 44, of Alsford Road, Waterlooville pleaded guilty to using a phone whilst driving a Ford Transit on the M27 between junctions 12 and 11 near Fareham. He was fined £200 and received six points on his licence. Rickets must also pay £110 court costs and an £80 surcharge. The court heard that losing his licence could affect employees of his business as well as his family.
FLOYD GRADIDGE, 43, of Western Green, Southampton admitted nine counts of theft from a shop at Co-Op stores in Southampton. He stole alcohol, milk, sweets, bacon, sausages, burgers, prawns, chocolate, cheese, ham, coffee and tobacco. The items taken were worth a total of £809.97. Gradidge also pleaded guilty to failing or refusing to provide a sample for a Class A drug test. He was found guilty of taking a vehicle without an owner's consent, driving without a licence and driving without insurance in Liverpool. He was bailed to appear at the same court for sentencing on February 23.

LEIGH ARMSDEN, 48, of Forster Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to theft from a shop after he stole £48.75 worth of wine from Co-Op, Southampton. He was fined £50 and excluded from entering any Co-Op store.
WAYNE BALDWIN, 51, admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Southampton. He was fined £30.
SHAUN FOSKETT, 33, of Patrick Haugh Road, Bicester admitted two counts of theft from a shop after £52.20 of alcohol and soft drinks were stolen from Co-Op in Southampton. He also pleaded guilty to failing or refusing to provide a sample for a Class A drug test. Foskett was fined £30.
