Keen amateur photographer Maggie White has won the Beaulieu River photo competition for the third time with her action-packed sailing picture.
This year’s winning entry, Messing About on the River, is in contrast to previous atmospheric sunset shots.
Maggie, a member of Beaulieu Camera Group, has beaten hundreds of rivals with her winning entries, chosen by Lord Montagu.

She will be presented with her £200 prize at Buckler’s Hard Yacht Harbour and this year’s winning entry will be featured in the 2024 Beaulieu River Tide Times & Information booklet.
Maggie's other entry, of autumn colours, was a runner-up alongside David Miller’s stormy sky sailing picture and Sarah Webber’s photograph of a swan making ripples in the water.
The annual competition is open to all amateur photographers inspired by one of the few privately owned rivers in the world, locals as well as visitors to the picturesque harbourside village of Buckler’s Hard.
The 2024 Beaulieu River photo competition is now open and entries can be sent to photo@beaulieu.co.uk.
