A motorcyclist who died in a crash six days before Christmas has been named as the inquest into his death opens.
Damian Walton, of Downview Way, Clanfield died at the scene of a collision on Winchester Road, Bishop’s Waltham, on December 19.
Area coroner Rosamond Rhodes-Kemp, who opened the inquest at Winchester Coroner's Court on January 10, said the 33-year-old had been riding his motorbike when he collided with a Ford Ranger.
The initial cause of death has been given as multiple injuries.
The full inquest will take place at Winchester Coroner’s Court on December 11.

A 43-year-old man from Bishop’s Waltham was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless and inconsiderate driving.
He has since been released under investigation.
On the day of the crash, emergency services were called out shortly after 7.20am.
The road was closed to traffic in both directions for most of the morning.
