A man has been seriously injured after he was hit by a motorbike.
Police officers were called to High Road in Swaythling this morning following a crash involving a pedestrian and a motorbike.
The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.
The pedestrian, a man in his 40s, has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The motorbike driver, an 18-year-old man, was treated for minor injuries.
Hampshire Constabulary confirmed no arrests have been made.
The crash at around 7.30am this morning caused delays in the area.
The road was later cleared once officers dealt with the incident.
