A suspected drug driver is still being questioned by police over a serious crash at an Eastleigh car wash.
A man in his 30s remains in hospital in a serious condition after being struck by a motorist at Car Wash Bay on Sunday afternoon.
The driver, a 23-year-old Southampton man, was held on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless / inconsiderate driving and driving a vehicle whilst unfit through drugs.
He remains in custody.
Police and paramedics were called to the serious crash in Bishopstoke Road just before 12.15pm.
The air ambulance was also called but the victim was taken to hospital by road.
A large police cordon was set up in the area as crime scene investigators worked to establish what happened.
They were seen looking inside and taking pictures of a white Range Rover parked at the car wash before it was towed away.
