Two new restaurants are set to open their doors at Gunwharf Quays this week.
Independent Indian gastropub Tap & Tandoor and American-style restaurant Slim Chickens, which both also have outlets at Westquay, will both have Portsmouth eateries by the end of the month.
Award-winning Tap & Tandoor will be Gunwharf Quays’ only Indian restaurant, combining a unique mix of traditional Indian flavours with modern craft beer, cocktails and live sports.

The restaurant, the independent chain's fourth location, will offer a variety of small plates, home-style curries including Butter Chicken and Tarka Daal as well as a range of mixed grills, vegetarian and vegan options too.
Arkansas fried chicken restaurant, Slim Chickens, specialises in fresh, homemade Southern-inspired dishes and will open its 50th restaurant in Portsmouth on Friday.
The brand boasts a vast menu including hand-breaded buttermilk chicken tenders, Honey BBQ sandwiches and fresh Buffalo wings. It also stocks a range of 15 handmade dipping sauces as well as a variety wraps, salads and sides, plus vegetarian plant-based options.
