A suspected drug driver held in connection with a serious incident at an Eastleigh car wash has been bailed.
Two days on from the crash at Car Wash Bay that left a man in hospital, the 23-year-old suspect arrested at the scene has been released from custody.
As of yesterday, the Southampton man was still being questioned by police after being held on suspicion of drug driving and causing serious injury by careless / inconsiderate driving.
However, police confirmed today he has since been released on bail until April 21.
A man in his 30s suffered serious injuries after being struck by a car at the Bishopstoke Road car wash on Sunday afternoon.
The air ambulance was also called out just after 12.20pm but the victim was taken to hospital by road.
There is no update on his condition, police say.
The car wash was cordoned off on Sunday with crime scene investigators spotted looking inside and taking pictures of a white Range Rover.
Police also returned to the area yesterday as part of the investigation.
