A police manhunt which was at least 20 days long has ended after a wanted man was sent back to prison.
Police kicked off their search at the beginning of the year for Daniel Dickinson, who was wanted for breaching his licence conditions after leaving prison.
They issued an appeal for witnesses on 4 January.
Officers involved in the search for the 32-year-old said he had links to Southampton and the Isle of Wight.
A week went by without finding him - but sightings of Dickinson in Newport on 12 January helped focus the search.
This led to police renewing their public appeal to find him.
But on Tuesday night, there was a breakthrough when officers finally found Dickinson on the Isle of Wight, arrested him and sent him back to prison.
