Anniversary celebrations were held at a successful Southampton business where everyone always looks their best.
Ange's Brow and Beauty Studio in Shirley High Street is a former curtain shop that was given a new lease of life in 2016.
The fledgling business went from strength to strength as a result of hard work and word of mouth.
Last year it was named Beauty Salon of the Year by Daily Echo readers after polling 143 votes.
Now the salon has celebrated its eighth birthday by throwing a party to mark its successful emergence from the pandemic and the addition of new treatments.
The Lord Mayor of Southampton, Cllr Valerie Laurent, cut a celebratory cake in front of fellow guests.
She said: "Isn't this brilliant - a lovely party to mark eight wonderful years. I know you had to close during Covid but you have survived.
"Businesses such as this are so important to the High Street. Without them the whole place would die, and it's happening in some cities. I wish you every success in the future."
Guests congratulated the staff by singing Happy Anniversary To You.

Owner Ange Kaur, 42, said: "I lost my job eight years ago and applied for many others without success, but I had this skill and needed to do something.
"I saw this shop and fell in love with it straight away.
"There were times when I wanted to give up. I didn't make a profit for the first couple of years but I had enough money to pay my rent and my bills."
Many of her regulars come every two to three weeks, often to get their eyebrows done.
Most live in the Shirley area but some have travelled from further afield, including London, Brighton, and even Wales.
Ange added: "I wanted to open in town but Shirley is a beautiful community. Many of the women have been very supportive. Another nice thing is that I think of my staff as family."

The businesswoman was presented with her Daily Echo award in April last year.
Speaking at the time she said: "A few days ago we had something come through the post from the Echo. One of our staff opened it and realised we had won.
"I was in the salon at the time and screamed when she told me, which made everyone jump."
