Three New Forest hotels have been ranked as among the best in the UK in a guide published by the AA.
Lime Wood in Lyndhurst, Chewton Glen in New Milton, and Careys Manor in Brockenhurst are included in the AA's list of top spa hotels.
Lime Wood is described as a meticulously restored country house that provides a wealth of facilities and plenty of opulence.
The guide says: "The hotel prides itself on its relaxed, friendly, and attentive service and has lots to interest and captivate.
"The Herb House spa offers a hydrotherapy pool and many other excellent facilities along with a gym and steam room."
Careys Manor Hotel is described as offering just the right combination of relaxed informality and stylish refinement to enable guests to feel "wonderfully pampered".
The guide says: "Sen Spa provides state-of-the-art hydrotherapy facilities combined with world-class treatments performed by the UK's top Thai and Western therapists.
"Many of the spacious and well-appointed bedrooms have balconies overlooking the gardens.
"Extensive function and conference facilities are also available. Nestled between New Forest National Park and the Solent, it's also a great base for exploring the region."
The guide also says the addition of eco-friendly treehouses at Chewton Glen have given the hotel a fresh and exciting new look.
Chewton Glen's extensive grounds, which include a walled garden and a croquet lawn, are a "feature in their own right".
