A man is due in court accused of stealing nearly £1,200 of goods during a shoplifting spree.
Andrew Brady, 42, is charged with nine thefts in connection after incidents at Co-op in Lee-on-the-Solent and Gosport between New Years Eve and Friday last week.
The offences are:
- Theft of £173.75 worth of food from Co-op on Lee-on-the-Solent High Street on 31 December 2023.
- Theft of £154.24 worth of food from Co-op on Lee-on-the-Solent High Street on 31 December 2023.
- Theft of £166.43 worth of food from Co-op on Lee-on-the-Solent High Street on 20 January 2024.
- Theft of £126.06 worth of food from Co-op on Lee-on-the-Solent High Street on 24 January.
- Theft of £111.90 worth of food from Co-op on Lee-on-the-Solent High Street on 25 January.
- Theft of £192.67 worth of food from Co-op on Lee-on-the-Solent High Street on 27 January.
- Theft of £142.62 worth of food from Co-op on Lee-on-the-Solent High Street on 28 January.
- Theft of £40.30 worth of food from Co-op on Privett Road in Gosport on 30 January.
- Theft of £82.50 worth of sun cream and meat from Co-op on Lee-on-the-Solent High Street on 2 February.
He has also been charged with nine counts of failing to comply with a community protection notice between December 31 and February 2.
Brady, of no fixed abode, has been bailed with conditions.
He will appear at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court on February 22.
