A Stubbington couple have taken their love of cosplay to new heights by planning a Star Wars and Marvel-themed wedding.
By day, Rob Pinkney, 52, works as a telephone engineer and Kat Richardson, 46, works at Royal Mail.
But at the weekend, Rob and Kat shed their work uniforms and swap them for fancy dress, travelling across the country to showcase their characters at charity events, weddings and even funerals.

The pair, who have lived in Stubbington for four years, met at a Cancer Research event on April 6, 2019.
Kat was dressed as Black Cat from the Marvel comic universe, and Rob was wearing an Imperial Storm Trooper costume from Star Wars.
To celebrate the couple’s love of dressing up, the pair will don the original costumes they wore when they met, at a Star Wars and Marvel themed wedding – with all guests in full costume.
Rob said: “We are so excited for the wedding; we have done so much planning.
“The idea came from, of course, our love of cosplay but also our hatred of uncomfortable suits.
“When you get a wedding invite, your first thoughts are what should I wear, and for me, my next thought is when the hell can I get out of this horrible suit.
“Some of our guests have not dressed up or cosplayed since childhood – I would love some of our guests to join us on our charity work in future.”
Rob said that one of the most emotionally difficult events the couple have attended was the funeral of a 21-year-old from Crewe who was a lifelong Star Wars fan.
He said: “I wanted to be a Storm Trooper since seeing Star Wars back in 1977 – I was 46 before I finally got my first set of armour.”
The wedding will all be held at the Holiday Inn in Fareham on April 6.
Kat added: “I will have eight bridesmaids dressed fabulously as Harley Quinn from Batman.
“Rob will have a parade of Star Wars characters with him at the wedding, including Boba Fett and Chewbacca.”
