Police were called out to Cobden Bridge due to concerns for the safety of a woman.
Officers were called out last night to the bridge which crosses the River Itchen and joins Bitterne Park and St Denys.
They were called out due to reports from concerned members of the public about her welfare, shortly before 8pm.

Police officers went there and spoke to the woman before making sure she got home.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Hampshire Police told the Echo: “We were called just before 8pm yesterday following reports of a concern for safety of a woman on Cobden Bridge.
“Officers attended and spoke to the woman before returning her home.”
