The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...
JACOB ROWLEY, 27, of Woodlands Way, Bursledon pleaded guilty to exceeding a 50mph speed limit after he was clocked at 74mph on the A34. He was travelling southbound at the junction with the A33 for Winchester when he was caught by manned speeding equipment. He was driving a Mercedes. Rowley was fined £66 and received three points on his licence. He must pay a £34 surcharge.
DANIEL COSSEY, 22, of Matchams Lane, Christchurch admitted a charge of theft after he stole a guitar worth £400 in Southampton. He was fined £80 and was ordered to pay a £32 surcharge.
KEVIN MCLOUGHLIN, 49, of Thames Close, West End pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen for analysis in Southampton. He was banned from driving for 18 months and received a £960 fine. McLoughlin must also pay £85 court costs and a £384 surcharge.

JESSE GREY, 21, of Challice Way, London admitted to possessing a controlled drug of Class B, namely cannabis in Southampton. Grey was given a six-month conditional discharge and an order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs. Grey must also pay £85 court costs.
TAUTVYDAS VENGRIS, 34, of Clive Road, Portsmouth pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified on Northlands Road, Southampton. He was given a one-year community order with up to ten rehabilitation days and a 16-month driving ban. Vengris must pay £85 court costs and a £114 surcharge.
PHILIP STRINGFELLOW, 42, of Denzil Avenue, Southampton admitted a charge of assault by beating. He was given a two-year community order with a six-month alcohol treatment requirement and a £200 fine. He must also complete up to 30 rehabilitation days and pay £500 court costs plus a £114 surcharge. A restraining order was made banning him from contacting his victim.
