There have been calls for CCTV at a 'dangerous' road near a cemetery where cars have been smashed up in recent days.
On Tuesday, February 13, residents were horrified to find a wrecked 18-month-old Audi on Cemetery Road.
It was first reported to police on Friday, February 9.
Now, exactly a week later, a car has been found with a window smashed in, this time a Vauxhall Corsa.
A 37-year-old resident and avid walker who came across the damage told the Echo: “This place should be a safe place for people to go for a walk or to leave their cars and it’s becoming more and more dangerous.
“I quite often come down here for a walk and sometimes I meet friends down here.

“It’s becoming more unsafe down here. I am starting to think I’ll have to go somewhere else where people don’t smash cars.”
The Southampton local, who used to live in Winchester, has called for CCTV cameras to be installed in the area.
He said: “There needs to be more to deter these people from doing whatever they want.
“People park here to go on a walk, people will just stop doing that if people feel like it’s a dangerous place.”
Though this most recent incident hasn’t been reported to police, a spokesperson for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary confirmed that the owner of the damaged Audi has arranged for its recovery.
The 18-month-old car had been left without windows and lights - as broken glass and car parts scattered Cemetery Road - which is a popular route for dog walkers.
The damage to the Audi, parked near Southampton Old Cemetery, left residents stunned with one describing the scene as “total carnage".
Trainer footprints and forceful dents can be seen on the bonnet of the vehicle and all tyres have been punctured.
Glass and debris were scattered around the car and two Breaking Bad DVDs were left on the passenger seat.
