Plans to turn a former convenience store into part of a five-bedroom house have been given the go-ahead.
The New Forest National Park Authority has approved an application relating to the disused Budgens branch in Station Road, Sway.
An NPA report said: "The store is a large, detached, two-storey property, with single-storey sections extending to the rear.
"The ground floor is currently retail space and associated offices and storage, with a two-bedroom unit at first-floor level.
"The application is to convert the building into a single five-bed dwelling, replacing parts of the single-storey sections.
"It would be necessary to demonstrate there is no other viable use for the property.
"The justification provided with the application states that the existing retail unit is no longer viable, due in large part to the provision of the new Co-op shop a short distance away.
"It also confirms that the shop has been marketed, for over a year by two established estate agents, without success."
