Two Hampshire men with surnames starting with the same initial have won life-changing amounts on EuroMillions just weeks apart.
The two men, both known only as Mr W, have become millionaires after each scooping a £1m prize in two separate EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker draws in January.
The first Mr. W, who played a personal selection of random numbers via the National Lottery website, won on January 12.
Two weeks later, in the EuroMillions draw on January 26, another lucky Mr. W banked the same amount. He plans to pay off his debts and book a holiday.
More than eight million players win each week on The National Lottery’s range of games.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said: “What incredible news for these two lucky winners, becoming millionaires overnight.
"The same initial for their surnames, in the same area, winning the same prize just weeks apart - what are the chances? Hampshire is clearly a very lucky area for our EuroMillions players."
