Police have released a photo of a man after a woman said she was followed in Westquay and Ikea.
Hampshire police said today a woman in her 20s reported she was followed in a 'suspicious manner' in Southampton.
The man was seen 'behaving inappropriately' at the city's shopping centre and Ikea, police said.
The reports made to police happened on Tuesday, February 6 around 5.45pm and Thursday February at around 3.30pm and 5.30pm.
Shopping centre security and the local policing teams have all been made aware of these incidents and are carrying out dedicated patrols in the area.
Officers investigating this are now releasing the image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with this incident.
He is between 40 and 50, about 6ft tall, slim and has dark hair.
A police spokesperson said: "We would now like to hear from anyone who may be able to assist our enquiries. Do you recognise the man pictured?
"Have you noticed any similar incidents in the city centre that have not yet been reported to police?
"Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting reference 44240058174."
