A man suffered injuries after two men threw a 'lump of Tarmac' at him in an assault.
The victim was involved in a verbal dispute with the men on Friday at around 7.47am in Upper Deacon Road, Southampton.
A police spokesperson said: "We were called at 7.47am on Friday 23 February with reports of an assault in Upper Deacon Road.
"It was reported that a man was punched and thrown to the floor by two men who also threw a lump of Tarmac at him following a verbal dispute. He did not sustain serious injuries.
"Enquiries are ongoing.
"Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting 44240079203."
