A Hampshire motorway has reopened following a six-vehicle crash that caused rush-hour chaos.
The southbound carriageway of the M3 was closed at junction 11 and stayed shut for several hours, causing severe delays in the area.
Police were called just after 4.30pm on Friday following reports of a multi-vehicle collision.
No serious injuries were reported but the road was closed for the rest of the evening and a diversion route was put in place for commuters.
A police spokesperson said today: "We were called at 4.40pm to reports of a collision involving six vehicles on the M3 southbound at junction 11.
"Officers attended and the carriageway was closed to allow for the vehicles to be recovered. No serious injuries were reported and the road has since reopened."
