The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

OMAR AWEISS, 37, of Padwell Road, Southampton admitted a charge of theft from a shop after £85.05 in groceries was stolen from Tesco. He was fined £100 and must pay £85 court costs plus a £40 surcharge. 

GABRIEL DOAE, 18, of Arthur Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to driving without a licence and driving without insurance on Osborne Road South, Southampton. Doae received eight penalty points and a £400 fine. The teenager must pay £85 court costs and a £160 surcharge. 

DAVID THORN, 41, of Evenlode Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing a controlled drug of Class A, namely crack cocaine and heroin. He also admitted a charge of theft from a shop after stealing various meat products worth £141.80 from Iceland. An order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs. Thorn was ordered to pay £80 in fines and £70.90 compensation.

MICHAEL KIPLING, 36, of Kingston Road, Shirley admitted to causing criminal damage and assault by beating. He was jailed for nine weeks and must pay £126 compensation. A restraining order was made banning him from contacting his victim for the next two years.

ZAHIB HUSSAIN, 33, of West End Road, Southall pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen for analysis in Southampton. He was fined £120 and received ten points on his licence. Hussain must also pay £85 court costs and a £48 surcharge. 

MUTANSER SNOBER, 46, of St. Leanoards, Ringwood admitted drink driving on Millbrook Road West. He was caught driving an Audi A5 with 100 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath. Snober received a one-year community order with an alcohol treatment requirement and 15 rehabilitation days. He was banned from driving for 24 months and fined £120. He must also pay £85 court costs and a £114 surcharge.
