A driver in Hampshire has sustained minor injuries after crashing his car on a dangerous Hampshire road.

Police attended the scene of a crash on Sunday, February 25, after a man flipped his car on the A32 in Droxford, Hampshire.

Taking to social media to warn others, an officer who attended the scene wrote: “A32 in Droxford is currently closed, and a vehicle is awaiting recovery.

“Alcohol, driving & heavy rain have resulted in this road traffic accident.

“Driver sustained minor injuries and taken to hospital where a blood sample will be obtained for analysis.”

As reported in the Echo in 2021, a 20-year-old passenger of a BMW died after a collision on the A32 – which has been labelled by many Hampshire residents as a dangerous road.

Police closed the A32 while they worked to clear the debris from the crashed vehicle. 

A spokesperson for Hampshire police said: “We were called at 5.36pm on Sunday, February 25, to a report of a collision on the A32.

“This involved one vehicle, a Land Rover Freelander.

“The driver, a 37-year-old man from Droxford, suffered minor injuries and has been issued a postal requisition for failing to provide a specimen for analysis.”
