Southampton is set to host a bigger and better Trans Pride event than ever before with marches, live music, a disco and powerful speeches from members of the city’s transgender community.

The city's biggest annual event dedicated to celebrating the Southampton trans community will be held on June 29 at the Edmund Kell Unitarian Church.

The Edmund Kell Unitarian Church, in Bellevue Road, will be the same venue that hosted the event in 2022.

Trans Pride in 2023 lasted around two to three hours – whereas this year’s event is set to start at midday and last into the evening.

“The hostility toward members of the transgender community is not going to end any time soon and this is a fantastic opportunity for the community to celebrate one another.

“It is also a great place to meet new friends, network and find out more about the trans community in Southampton.”

The event is expected to run into the evening with a disco and dance party to finish off the event, starting at around 7pm in the evening.
