A person has been treated by paramedics in a blaze that has ravaged a warehouse.
South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) said one person with minor smoke inhalation has been treated at the scene in Southampton.
Paramedics remain in the area on Marine Parade to assist colleagues from the fire service.
A spokesperson said: “We have our full Hazardous Area Response Team, an Operational Commander, a Tactical Advisor and an ambulance at this incident and are working with colleagues from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service and Hampshire Police in a joint response.
“So far, only one patient with minor smoke inhalation has been assessed and treated at the scene and we remain on standby to support HFRS if needed as is usual procedure when they are tackling a blaze of this size.”
Around 18 fire engines are battling the blaze this afternoon and people are urged to keep their windows and doors shut.
Some roads local to the incident are closed and people are advised to avoid the area to allow movements of emergency vehicles.
