The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...
ALAKS KOLECI, 19, of Pansy Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to driving without insurance and driving without a licence on Violet Road, Southampton. He was in a Mitsubishi at the time. Koleci was fined £80 and received six points on his licence.
OLIVER BHATIA, 18, of Calshot Road, Calshot admitted permitting the use of a motor vehicle with no insurance and permitting the driving of a vehicle without a licence. This related to a Volkswagen which was being driven at Gang Warily Recreation and Community Centre on Newlands Road, Fawley. Bhatia was banned from driving for 14 days and received a £66 fine. He was also ordered to pay £55 court costs and a £26 surcharge.
IONUT-VLADUT GHINEA, 27, of Oxford Avenue, Southampton pleaded guilty to driving without insurance and using a phone whilst driving. The offences occurred whilst he was driving a Volkswagen Touran on Cranbury Avenue, Southampton. He received six points on his licence and a £300 fine. Ghinea was also ordered to pay £110 court costs and a £120 surcharge.

WILLIAM HUNT, 42, of Milton Road, Southampton admitted theft from a shop after meat worth £55.50 was stolen from Co-Op in Southampton. He received a 12-month conditional discharge and must pay a £26 surcharge.
RAVELL ROACH, 36, of Millerspond Gardens, Southampton pleaded guilty to assault by beating. He received a two-year community order with an alcohol treatment requirement, up to 15 rehabilitation days and a £75 fine. Roach must also pay £85 court costs and a £114 surcharge.
VARINDER SODHI, 32, of Barton Hill, Shaftesbury admitted driving without a licence and driving whilst a television receiving or cinematographic apparatus was visible. These relate to an incident on Portland Terrace when Sodhi was driving a Kia Picanto. He also admitted to using a prohibited vehicle on a road subject to a restriction, namely a bus lane in Portland Terrace, Southampton. Sodhi was fined £136 and received three points on his licence. He must pay £85 court costs and a £54 surcharge.
