The following speeders have been sentenced at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

SAMUAL TWEDDLE, 31, of Kings Road, Basingstoke admitted to exceeding a temporary 50mph speed restriction on the M3 northbound between junction 12 and 11. He was caught by an automatic speed camera near Compton at 58mph whilst behind the wheel of a BMW. Tweddle was fined £40 and received three points on his licence. Tweddle must pay £110 court costs. 

DORIAN DYCEWICZ, 33, of Byron Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to speeding on a 30mph road in Southampton. He was clocked at 62mph by manned speeding equipment in a Nissan. Dycewicz was fined £729 and received six points on his licence. He was also ordered to pay £110 court costs and a £292 surcharge.

FRANCIS WOODWARD, 52, of Underwood Road, Southampton admitted to speeding on the A31 at Alton. He was caught by manned speeding equipment driving at 85mph in a Volkswagen Transporter. The speed limit is 70mph. Woodward was banned from driving for six months and received three points on his licence. He was also fined £533 and must pay £110 court costs plus a £213 surcharge. 

JAMES STURGESS, 41, of Kenton Close, Marlow pleaded guilty to exceeding a temporary 50mph speed restriction on the M3. He was caught by an automatic camera driving at 68mph between junctions nine and eleven of the M3. He was heading southbound near Winchester in an Audi. Sturgess was fined £80 and received three points on his licence. He must pay £110 court costs and a £32 surcharge. 

FRANTZ MECKLER, 42, of Lawrence Grove, Southampton admitted to speeding on the M27 between junctions eight and seven near Hedge End. He was driving a BMW when he was caught by an automatic speed camera driving at 98mph. The national 70mph limit was in place at the time. He was fined £589 and received five points on his licence. Meckler must also pay £110 court costs and a £236 surcharge.
